Invocation, a mixed media installation, honors the idea of play and the power of imagination as a vessel of transformation and, when necessary, escape. This series of dolls inhabit the space between animal and human, fantasy and folklore. hand-sewn and sculpted in stoneware, they are part myth and part memory, a momento to play, unguarded imagination, and all the wild things.
